Mom's dumplings in tomato sauce?
My mother used to make us these "dumplings" that were about 1 inch or so square. They seemed to be made of flour and she would roll them, cut, cook and serve them in a tomato sauce (never from a jar). It was probably not the healthiest thing but with 6 to feed it would go pretty far. They were delicious and made us feel warm on a cold New England day. Mom died when we were kids and my father got drunk and threw all her recipes away. We never forgave him for that. Now it will be family reunion time soon (after 20 years) and I would love to make this recipe for my sisters and brothers. If you have any idea of the ingredients that could have gone into this recipe please let me know. We all would appreciate it. Thank you, Hank
